As Plant Manager Recycling (m/f/d) at FormaTurf, you hold full responsibility for the operation and performance of a recycling plant. You actively drive the economic, technological and organizational development of the site, combining operational excellence with innovation. In this role, you play a key part in developing new recycling products and advancing sustainable production processes.

FormaTurf GmbH is the newest company within the SportGroup, a global leader in sports flooring and artificial turf. With FormaTurf, the SportGroup takes responsibility for the proper disposal of sports flooring and artificial turf at the end of their lifecycle, recycling materials to a high standard and creating new, innovative products for the sports sector.

Plant Manager Recycling - FormaTurf (m/w/d)

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for plant operations including production, maintenance and logistics
• Planning, control and continuous optimization of production processes with a strong focus on quality, cost efficiency and performance
• Ensuring full compliance with occupational health & safety, environmental and regulatory requirements

Profitability & Controlling

• Full P&L responsibility for the plant, including cost, budget and investment planning
• Optimization of resource utilization and continuous efficiency improvements
• Preparation and evaluation of business cases for new products, processes and technologies

Leadership & People Development

• Disciplinary and functional leadership as well as continuous development of managers and employees
• Promotion of a performance-driven, safety-oriented and innovation-focused company culture
• Workforce planning and ensuring ongoing qualification and development of teams

Interface & Stakeholder Management

• Close collaboration with Sales, Purchasing, R&D, Quality Assurance and Executive Management
• Development and maintenance of customer and supplier relationships
• Representation of the plant towards authorities, partners and other internal and external stakeholders

Professional Requirements:

• University degree in plastics engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field
• Several years of leadership experience in the plastics processing industry, ideally in recycling
• Strong expertise in: Plastics processing (e.g. extrusion, injection molding, compounding, recycling processes), production and process technologies, quality and environmental management
• Proven experience in product development and implementation of technical innovations
• Solid business and financial acumen (cost accounting, investment planning, lean methodologies)
• Confident handling of IT systems and ERP solutions
