Overview
As Head of Finance at jameda you are the financial steward and strategic business partner for our operations. You own the full financial agenda: steering planning forecasting and cash flow management. You serve as a critical advisor to the CEO and the German leadership team. This is a high-impact role at the heart of jameda's business journey blending hands-on financial excellence with strategic influence. You’ll lead a talented team, drive cross-functional alignment and ensure data-driven decision-making at every level. You’ll be part of the jameda Management Team reporting directly to Constanze (CEO Germany) with a dotted line to Gervasio (Global VP Finance).
How would you be impacting our mission
- Demonstrated success in driving financial performance, operational efficiency and strategic resource allocation.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing Finance teams across multiple disciplines (FP&A, Controlling, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement).
- Expertise in designing and implementing financial systems, processes and automation to support scalable growth.
- Strong command of financial planning, forecasting and budgeting across complex and dynamic business environments.
- Experience supporting business model innovation, pricing strategies and investment analysis.
- Sound knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and regulatory frameworks with fluency in IFRS being a plus.
Qualifications
What Will Help You Succeed
- MBA or similar university degree with specialization in Finance.
- 8 years of professional experience, at least 2 years leading a team.
- Experienced in FP&A, Accounting and Controlling. Proficiency in scenario modeling and risk-adjusted planning.
- Hands-on experience with finance systems such as DATEV, Netsuite or Pigment.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Superset and Excel / Google Sheets wizardry.
- Strong ability to interpret data and connect it to financial outcomes.
- Native German, fluent English language skills.
- Team player collaborating effectively with business functions such as Marketing, Sales and CCS.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial ability to drive results through financial leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills capable of working with senior leadership and stakeholders across all functions.
- Proactive hands-on leader with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Data-driven mindset and continuous improvement orientation; adept at identifying risks and opportunities.
- High integrity, discretion and a clear sense of responsibility in managing sensitive financial information.
- Adaptability in fast-changing entrepreneurial global environments.
This role will be based in our Berlin office (min 2 days in office / week).
