Associate Director, eDiscovery, Digital Forensics and Cyber

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director to lead our eDiscovery, Digital Forensics, and Cyber investigation efforts at Secretariat. This senior role will shape and drive proactive forensic strategy across a dynamic portfolio of high‑profile clients in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Lead on‑site collection of data from servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other media.
• Analyze and deploy best practices for handling and analysis of electronic evidence.
• Perform forensic investigations and analysis, including expert report writing.
• Manage all data volumes gathered during investigations by the forensic department.
• Manage junior‑level staff, provide coaching and development, and review and QC work.
• Develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems.
• Assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital forensic roles, preferably in consulting firms and/or law enforcement.
• Bachelor’s degree in computing or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong verbal communication, presentation, and report writing skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑resolution abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Aware of and able to flag inherent risks of collating and analysing information from diverse sources.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
