We are now looking for a Director, Fiber sourcing, Paper businesses (m/f/d) to join our team. The position is located preferably in Helsinki, Finland or Augsburg, Germany. Other locations will be considered.

What you will do
You will lead our sourcing for Pulp, Recycled Paper, and Central European Wood. In parallel, you will strengthen our sourcing leadership to further enhance business performance in the Paper segment. You have full responsibility over fiber sourcing category covering strategy and execution, commercials, quality, sustainability, supplier development and business stakeholder engagement. You are striving towards competitive advantage and profit impact as integral part of our paper business management. You will be our leader for Fiber Sourcing organization covering 25 dedicated experts.
- Have commercial ownership of Pulp, Recycled Paper and Central European Wood sourcing
- Lead strategy creation and execution in close co-operation with business and operations stakeholders with a goal to maximize positive business impact both short and long term
- Contribute to decision-making at business management and manufacturing operations levels to optimize the profit management at business
- Lead supplier management and development of supplier base. Translate business requirements into short and long-term actions with business impact through cost, quality, sustainability and innovation leveraging the synergies between our two paper businesses
- Lead Fiber Sourcing organization globally and constantly develop performance, personnel and our capabilities
- Who you are: You are a business-minded leader with an entrepreneurial and curious mindset. You have a capability to establish ambitious and long-term strategic directions with stretched yet realistic targets based on structured market understanding and stakeholder involvement
- You have 7+ years of relevant work experience with proven track record on getting results with commercial responsibility
- You have 7+ years of organizational leadership experience with proven skills for successfully leading and developing geographically distributed teams
- You have global business mindset with excellent influencing and collaboration skills with ability to focus in complex business environment
- You are a problem-solver and are willing to challenge the status quo. You adapt fast to new environments and situations by being innovative and active in searching ways to grow, learn and develop
- You are experienced in leading change
- You have master’s degree in engineering or economics (or other relevant field)
- You are fluent in spoken and written English. Mastering German is an additional asset
- Experience from process industry is an additional asset
