Job Description

Our client is one of the fastest growing companies in the power semiconductor industry. They are urgently looking to fill the newly created Sales Director position in Germany.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree in engineering
  • 5+ years working experience in business development, technical marketing, sales, and/or pre-sales in the semiconductor or power electronics arena
  • Fluent English and German are a MUST
  • Strong connections in the market, including main automotive manufacturers
  • Proven understanding of semiconductor products and solutions, including high-level presentation skills at events such as user groups, customers, seminars, webinars, and conferences

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Target new customer engagements within specified market segments and generate product design wins
  • Present the company's applications and product advantages to customers, acting as the primary sales interface for several accounts regionally
  • Work with the sales team to manage current business, proactively generate quotes, and maintain customer relationships
  • Collaborate with customers outside the sales team to understand technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives, translating these into business opportunities
  • Communicate business and technical concepts at C-level
  • Study new concepts and architectures to leverage new technologies, including advanced drive schemes
  • Understand application needs and end-usage of semiconductor switches
  • Assess customer technical requirements and design issues, providing guidance accordingly
  • Coordinate with R&D and Sales to incorporate customer feedback into product development

Portfolio Vision and Strategy:

  • Develop portfolio strategies based on marketing research to gain customer and competitive insights
