About Our Client
Our client is a technology firm offering robotic automation solutions and an online platform to configure and procure robotics components, enabling manufacturers to adopt cost-effective automation. With the support of established investors, they are preparing for accelerated growth and international expansion. To drive this next phase, they are seeking a CFO to join their team as a key business partner to the CEO. The role is based in the Paderborn area, Germany.
What the job involves
Developing, maintaining, and adapting the company’s financial business model in line with growth plans. Playing a pivotal role in defining and executing the financial strategies for expansion
Establishing comprehensive company-wide budgets and creating robust controlling and reporting structures. Managing stakeholder communications for financial reporting and overseeing cash flow management
Setting up and managing cost accounting systems, analysing cost structures, and ensuring effective margin management across all business units. Providing key insights into cost optimization and profitability improvement
Overseeing operational financial management, including purchasing, bookkeeping, and legal processes. Ensuring efficient financial operations that support the company’s overall strategy and growth goals
Handling international tax reports and developing tax structures that support the company’s global growth. Managing the legal and tax considerations that come with international expansion
Improving product accessibility by offering flexible financing options, working with leasing companies and RaaS financing partners
Developing, maintaining, and expanding financial partnerships to drive growth and customer value
Managing investor relations by preparing and delivering reports and updates in collaboration with the CEO. Ensuring transparency and effective communication with stakeholders
Leading the fundraising efforts to secure public and private funds for company growth. Identifying and leveraging relevant public initiatives and driving the process for private fundraising, particularly venture capital, alongside the CEO
Supporting M&A activities by providing financial structuring expertise, conducting thorough due diligence, and assessing potential acquisitions from a financial and operational perspective
Who we are looking for
University degree in business administration, finance or a related field
Several years of experience in senior financial roles with a focus on cost accounting, margin management, and operational finance
A strategic, hands-on approach with a deep understanding of operational finance, cost analysis, and margin management
Proven track record in managing cost structures, improving margins, and driving profitability across business units
Strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and controlling, with an emphasis on operational finance and cost accounting
Excellent communication skills, especially in managing relationships with investors, stakeholders, and financial partners
Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external financial partners
A proactive, results-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving
In-depth experience with M&A processes, due diligence, and financial integration of acquisitions
Expertise in international taxation, particularly in structuring financial and tax models for global expansion
Previous experience in a company with a hardware business model is beneficial
Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in German and English
