Hartmann Young is exclusively partnered with a global leader in life sciences and high-performance ingredients, supporting the confidential search for a Head of Sales to be based on-site in their German headquarters.

This role is an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the commercial strategy across Europe and beyond for a scientifically driven, innovation-focused company. The position holds full accountability for sales performance, team leadership, strategic partnerships, and customer satisfaction in the health and nutrition markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage the sales team across regions and key accounts.
  • Define and implement the sales strategy across B2B channels in the health, nutrition, and functional ingredients space.
  • Establish and nurture high-level relationships with customers in the food and nutrition, dietary supplement, and functional food sectors.
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, and R&D to align commercial strategy with pipeline and market needs.
  • Monitor sales performance, forecasts, KPIs, and margins; drive accountability and growth targets.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, customer meetings, and strategic partner engagements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to inform long-term commercial planning and investment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in>
  • Proven track record in driving international sales growth and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of B2B ingredient markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Fluent in English; German proficiency highly desirable.
  • Strategic thinker with operational execution skills and strong people leadership.
