Senior Consultant

FI Group , the largest funding and innovation consultancy in Europe, is looking for a Senior Consultant (m / f / d) in Germany to strengthen our team in Düsseldorf (remote work possible).

This position is ideal for someone passionate about funding at the EU, federal, and regional levels, with relevant experience in :

• R&D Grants
• Innovation and investment grants

Your Responsibilities

• Advise companies to improve their R&D strategy and innovation project management
• Independently identify, lead, write, and manage applications and tenders for SMEs and LEs as well
• Identify cross-selling opportunities within the existing pipeline
• Contribute to the efficient and successful delivery of R&D tax incentives, innovation, and investment grants
• Quantify and analyze the costs and eligibility associated with each newly identified project
• Organize meetings / kick off meetings and participate in discussions with senior stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic decision-making
• Use your expertise in innovation and investment grants for the automotive industry / mechanical engineering and tax incentives to add value for innovative companies
• Maintain and update reporting tools to optimize team and group efficiency

What You Bring

• Ideally, a technical generalist or a background in automotive / mechanical engineering, agro or pharma; Ph.D., MEng, or BEng
• At least 3 years of experience as an innovation consultant or in a similar role
• Experience in preparing claims and proposals for enterprises
• Willingness and ability to manage a high workload : up to 30 clients per year, handling both financial and technical aspects of their applications and proposals
• High proficiency in German and English
• Strong customer orientation
• Passion and innovative thinking
• Independent, proactive, and eager to share knowledge within the team, with a strong preference for challenges and the ability to work in a diverse corporate environment
