The Department of Literature, Art and Media Studies in the Faculty of Humanities seeks to fill this position by April the 1st, 2026 with a maximum of 6 years. Reference No. 2025/176.
The junior professorship addresses questions in the field of text/image/media theories and practices in the light of current developments in media technology. The call for applications is aimed at applicants from the fields of literature, art or media studies. An outline of a relevant post-doctoral project in the above-mentioned field is expected.
The junior professorship has a teaching load of 4 SWS until the interim evaluation, or 6 SWS after a successful interim evaluation, and is integrated into the department's degree programmes, in particular the B.A./M.A. Literature-Art-Media. Where appropriate, the candidate will also teach in the B.A. Literatures-Cultures-Languages, the philological B.Ed./M.Ed. programmes, the M.A. Literary Studies, M.A. Global European Studies or the B.A. minor in Gender Studies. The professorship is funded by the Centre for Cultural Inquiry (ZKF). Collaboration in the research contexts of the Centre is expected.
