Head Business Continuity & Emergency Management (d/f/m)

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading Global Business Continuity & Emergency Management by defining the overall governance for resilience and response.
  2. Ensuring business resilience and readiness of the Sandoz Executive Committee (SEC), Country Presidents and Site Heads as part of the Business Continuity & Emergency Management methodology.
  3. Driving the strategy and setting clear objectives for the function globally.
  4. Facilitating key strategic decision-making during a crisis or emergency situation.
  5. Developing global policies and standards for Business Continuity & Emergency Management.
  6. Driving the development and implementation of the strategic plans and enterprise-wide initiatives that include:
    1. Reducing complexity of the organization and controls by increasing the focus on most impactful areas.
    2. Strengthening the operational aspect of the function.
    3. Providing global transparency on the function’s performance.
    4. Ensuring the team is fully embedded in the organization and operations where applicable.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  1. Bachelor/University degree or equivalent in international security/risk management and/or proven relevant experience in a related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in the Risk, Business Continuity and Emergency Management areas.
  3. Experience working on global projects across geographies, functions, and business units, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  4. Strong leadership skills and ability to provide strategic guidance to senior management.
  5. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels across the organization.
  6. Result-driven and pragmatic approach to identifying and implementing solutions.
  7. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
  8. Relevant industry certification.
