LEAD PROJECT MANAGER – HV TRANSMISSION LINES (Germany)
Our client, a leading electricity subsidiary, is part of a renowned international construction group. Specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of energy infrastructure—including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems—the company has a history of delivering large-scale, high-complexity projects that support the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future in international markets.
The German subsidiary primarily manages HV Transmission projects. Due to business growth, our client is seeking a Lead Project Manager to act as a Country Project Manager. This hands-on Project Manager / Operations Manager will lead and be responsible for the management and economic results of the German market and, in the future, the Dutch market.
Mission : Responsible for overseeing operations from initial development and planning to the delivery and execution of complex HV Transmission projects in Germany & The Netherlands, ensuring project objectives are met in terms of timelines, quality, budget, and safety standards. Monitor and oversee projects, clients, and sales proposals to enhance customer satisfaction. Focus area includes Baden-Württemberg, where several O&M operations are already running, with an engineering contract scheduled to start in May 2025.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Relationship & Operations : Develop operations and build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment with project goals and client satisfaction. Act as the main liaison with external stakeholders such as suppliers, subcontractors, clients, partners, and organizations in Germany. Approve and validate bids, tenders, and purchases for the German branch and future Dutch market.
Team Management : Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, subcontractors), facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Grow the team from 5 to 30 members.
Reporting : As the ultimate responsible for P&L, analyze, manage, and report on the monthly closing for the branch. Report directly to the Managing Director of the Electricity Division (HQ based in Spain).
