Senior Software R&D Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

1. As an R&D engineer (m/f/d), you will be part of a Scrum team developing software for the V93000 SOC test platform.
2. This team is responsible for defining, designing, implementing, and testing new solutions in C++ or Java in collaboration with our customers, who are the leaders in semiconductor technology.
3. You will work with a state-of-the-art development environment on high-performance Linux workstations to realize new functionalities with high quality.
4. You will work as a member of a self-organized agile team following agile principles in a work environment adapted to personal and team needs.
5. You will create manual and automated tests and perform exploratory testing to achieve good test coverage and gain timely feedback about progress and quality.
6. You will plan and coordinate development and test activities with other development teams.

Your Qualifications

1. University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or comparable subjects.
2. Extensive experience in software development of technical systems in a multi-team environment.
3. Deep understanding of software design concepts and methodologies.
4. Practical knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and test automation.
5. Strong analytical mindset, data-driven problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
6. Good Linux knowledge.
7. Strong programming skills in C++ 17 or Java 21 (or newer).
8. Passion for quality.
9. Good communication skills.
10. Fluent in English.

This is a plus:

1. Experience in Scrum or SAFe software development processes.
2. Experience with large-scale software systems.
3. Experience with AI or ML.
4. Good knowledge of the software configuration management system Git.
5. Good understanding of integrated circuits and electronic measurement technology.
6. Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Ruby.
7. German language skills.
