At our location in Radolfzell am Bodensee, we are seeking an experienced Senior Director Human Resources (m/f/d). You will lead and evolve the HR strategy for our operations in Germany, within the globally active CIRCOR / Allweiler company operating across EMEA and APAC. This strategic leadership role is responsible for developing a high-performing, agile HR function that supports both local business needs and global alignment. The ideal candidate will bring solid expertise in HR process optimization, policy development, collective labor law, and effective collaboration with works councils, alongside a passion for driving change and enabling modern ways of working and leading.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior HR leader for Germany, aligning local HR practices with business goals
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, P&L Leader and Managing directors
  • Drive people-related strategies that support business growth, employee engagement, and organizational agility
  • Lead and facilitate Organizational & Talent Reviews, supporting leaders by talent development and succession planning activities

HR Policy, Process Optimization, and Digitalization

  • Lead the continuous improvement and harmonization of HR processes, HR IT landscape and policies across the Germany sites
  • Ensure HR operations are scalable, efficient, compliant, and digitally enabled

Labor Relations & Legal Compliance

  • Serve as the primary HR interface with the works council (Betriebsrat), maintaining a cooperative and productive relationship
  • Leading collective law related bargaining topics, in collaboration with respective Managing Directors
  • Ensure compliance with German labor law, collective agreements, and co-determination practices
  • Navigate complex labor topics with a solution-oriented, pragmatic approach

Change Management & Transformation

  • Support organizational change initiatives (e.g., restructuring, cultural transformation, M&A due diligence and integration)
  • Lead HR aspects of change programs with sensitivity, structure and agility

Agile Work & Leadership Culture

  • Promote and implement modern, agile HR practices including flexible work models, new leadership frameworks, and employee autonomy

People Leadership & Development

  • Manage and develop a high-performing HR Team in Germany of around 10 HR professionals (HR Business Partners/HR Managers, HR Generalists/HR Support, Payroll Specialists)
  • Fostering a team environment with sharing knowledge and learning together

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field
  • Preferably 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role in Germany
  • Strategic thinker and “hands on mentality” to get problems solved together with the team
  • Proven success in driving HR transformation in mid- to large-sized organizations (ideally 750+ FTEs)
  • Strong knowledge of German labor and collective law and demonstrated experience in works council collaboration
  • Experience leading HR in a matrixed international organization, preferably across EMEA/APAC
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel approx. 20% in Germany
