Engineering & Maintenance Manager (m/w/d)

Shape the future of automotive manufacturing with Huntsman Advanced Materials. We are looking for an experienced and driven Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join our site leadership team in Bad Säckingen. This pivotal role focuses on automotive CAPEX implementation and operational excellence.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver major CAPEX projects – ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
  • Drive operational reliability and asset integrity – oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance for production, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Champion EHS and compliance – ensure all activities meet Huntsman’s rigorous safety, environmental, and quality standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, etc.).
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement – work closely with site management, production, supply chain, and external partners to support new product introductions and process changes.
  • Develop and inspire your team – lead, coach, and empower a skilled group of technicians, building a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).
  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering and maintenance roles within manufacturing, ideally with a strong automotive or chemical background.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale CAPEX projects and delivering technical readiness for automotive standards and audits.
  • Excellent project management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands‑on, can‑do attitude.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Passion for safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
