Head of Finance for global FMCG company

About The Position And What We Offer

We are looking for a Head of Finance to improve and ensure the further development of our finance department’s efficiency. We operate globally with colleagues in multiple countries and the interplay of different perspectives and ideas will inspire the right candidate.

You will report to our CEO and be an important part of the management team. Our management team leads the company by working unitedly and dealing with challenges together. We work as a team, always for the benefit of our company, our colleagues, our customers and our business partners.

Your key responsibilities are:

• Ensure that we are aligned with the Zollamt/Finanzamt and local similar authorities in Poland and Singapore according to general accounting practice.
• Handle and coordinate the financial closing, consolidation and reporting both periodically and annually.
• Set the frame for our annual budget in close cooperation with controlling.
• Responsible for our RISK assessments and Due Diligence process.
• Lead the Finance team and develop their competences (the team consists of 1 team-leader, 3 accountants and 1 controller).
• To have the responsibility for the finance operations for our offices in Germany, Singapore and Poland.

Your profile

You have a solid understanding of German and international accounting policies as well as strong knowledge of accounting standards. You have experience collaborating with Zollamt/Finanzamt and local authorities with a deep knowledge of compliance.

Furthermore, you have:

• A relevant master’s degree in finance and accounting.
• Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience from a similar role.
• Solid experience with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (preferable Axapta) and consolidation tools.
• Strong English and German skills in speech and writing on a professional business level.
• Danish is an advantage, but not a must.
