Your profile:

• University degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in a senior technical role – ideally in energy storage, photovoltaics, or renewable energy
• In-depth technical expertise and knowledge of quality assurance, standards (e.g., VDE, ISO), and project management
• Proven experience working with external partners and setting up technical structures
• Entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on attitude, and strategic vision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and effectively

About us
We are meteocontrol Energy GmbH – a newly founded company focused on innovative energy storage solutions and part of a successful, medium-sized enterprise in the renewable energy sector. Our business model: We provide commercial customers with modern battery storage systems free of charge – including planning, installation, operation, and maintenance – and supply the stored electricity at attractive rates. To do so, we use both energy from the customer’s own PV systems and low-cost electricity purchased from the power exchange.

To support our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced technical leader who will play a key role in shaping and developing our company from the ground up.

Technical Strategy & Concept Development

• Develop overall technical concepts for the installation, operation, and maintenance of commercial battery storage systems
• Define and continuously optimize technical processes – from procurement to commissioning
• Evaluate new systems and innovations in the field of energy storage and PV integration

Project Management & Implementation

• Plan and coordinate system installations – potentially in collaboration with external partners
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
• Provide technical leadership for pilot projects and rollout initiatives

Operations & Asset Management

• Develop and implement concepts for maintenance, servicing, and monitoring of the systems
• Establish efficient asset management processes to ensure cost-effective operations
• Continuously improve performance based on operational and market data

Leadership & Collaboration

• Build and lead your own technical team
• Work closely with management, procurement, sales, and IT
• Select, manage, and ensure quality of external service providers
