The role can be filled in our office locations in Walldorf (close to Heidelberg) or Hallbergmoos (close to Munich).

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Therefore, in your role as Senior Development Consultant (f/m/d) for Clean Core and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), you should be passionate about the latest technology trends related to SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud and the appetite to explore new innovations.

Working with SAP BTP, our strategic extension, integration, data and innovation platform, you will be working in close collaboration across the extended SAP BTP customer value chain. Working with the SAP BTP development departments and our sales/presales teams to build mind-blowing new SAP applications in the Cloud for our customers. The platform is evolving day by day, so agility and an open-minded approach will be crucial for this role.

Utilizing your experience as a consultant you will be able to identify the potential for digitalization of existing business processes where SAP BTP can add value. Ideally you have been working as a consultant (f/m/d).

In addition, strong communication skills and a desire to work closely with SAP customers worldwide will be fundamental to this role.

Reinforces that the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is the unique integration and extension platform.
Leverages the capabilities of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Supports the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise.
Analyses feasibility for new and changed services.
Support for solution proposals and bid management.
Taking over responsibility from time to time as a (sub-)project lead.
Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports respective line manager(s) in people development tasks.
Delivers customer workshops and trainings.

YOUR PROFILE

Your Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Information Technologies or Computer Science.
Several years of experience in implementation projects.
Experience in software development methodologies and agile project management.
Proven track record of SAP BTP projects/ Proof of Concepts.
Constructive and open style of communication at all hierarchy levels (internally and externally).
Excellent technical and analytical ability in SAP development tools & methodologies.
Strong knowledge in developing technical specifications.
Willingness to work with innovative and fast changing technology components.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and solutions.
Understand the challenges in complex system landscape.
Solid understanding of SAP Technology & Technology Strategy, Cloud Technologies and Market Trends.
Openness for travel and customer-facing work, onsite with customers across Europe and worldwide.
Fluent in German and English, written and spoken.

Your Skills and Competencies:

Programming languages and skills e.g., ABAP, Java or JavaScript.
Strong UI development experience with HTML5, SAPUI5/Fiori Elements.
Development in SAP BTP with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model and SAP Restful ABAP Programming Model.
Good knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA Extensibility Model (Key User Extensibility, On-Stack Developer Extensibility, Side-by-Side Extensibility).
Experience in software- design and architecture.
Hands-on experience of tools like SAP ABAP Development Tools (ADT) and SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), Artificial Intelligence Know-how is a plus.
