Key Responsibilities

As Head of KNX Product Management, you will be the driving force behind ABB’s KNX offering. At ABB, we are looking for a visionary leader to take charge of our global KNX product portfolio – the backbone of intelligent building automation. This is your opportunity to define strategy, drive innovation, and lead a team that sets the standard for KNX technology worldwide. KNX enables seamless integration of lighting, shading, HVAC, security, and energy management into one interoperable system – making buildings more efficient, comfortable, and secure.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

• Manage hardware, software, and system components throughout their lifecycle, ensuring profitability and market leadership.
• Translate market trends and customer needs into a clear KNX roadmap and offering strategy that positions ABB as the leader in building automation.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with R&D to develop next‑generation KNX solutions that deliver maximum value to customers and partners.
• Define business models, pricing strategies, and segment approaches for KNX globally, and ensure seamless alignment with local markets.
• Continuously monitor global market trends, regulations (cybersecurity, HSE), and competitor activities to keep ABB ahead of the curve.
• Act as the key interface between customers, sales, operations, and development teams to ensure customer satisfaction and business success.
• Build and inspire a high‑performing global KNX Product Management team, fostering growth, job rotation, and succession planning.

Qualifications For The Role

• You have a strong academic and professional foundation, with a completed university degree (Master’s or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Over the past 5 years, you have gained extensive experience in building technology, ideally in roles that combine technical expertise with strategic product management.
• KNX knowledge is essential – you understand the technology deeply and can translate it into innovative solutions.
• You bring proven experience in product creation and lifecycle management, from concept and development through to market launch.
• In addition, you have demonstrated leadership in global, cross‑functional environments, excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus), and the flexibility to travel internationally to engage with customers, partners, and ABB teams worldwide.
