Job Title: Senior Consultant / Manager – Sustainability (CSRD, ESG Ratings, LkSG, Strategy)

Location: Germany (Multiple Locations including Berlin, Hamburg, Duesseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, Nuremberg, etc)

About the Role: We are partnering with two leading consulting firms to build and expand their Sustainability teams across all levels. As a Senior Consultant or Manager, you will play a key role in advising clients on sustainability strategies, regulatory compliance, and ESG performance improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of corporate sustainability and work with industry leaders on impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on sustainability regulations, including CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), ESG Ratings, and LkSG (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz – German Supply Chain Act).
• Develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct ESG risk assessments, reporting, and performance evaluations for clients.
• Support companies in integrating sustainability into their business models, governance, and reporting structures.
• Assist in sustainability audits, due diligence, and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Stay up to date with evolving sustainability frameworks and global best practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to drive sustainability transformation and change management.
• Lead project teams (for Manager level) and mentor junior consultants in their professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• For Senior Consultant: 3+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG consulting, or regulatory compliance.
• For Manager: 6+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in project leadership and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of CSRD, ESG frameworks (GRI, TCFD, SASB), LkSG, and EU sustainability regulations.
• Experience in sustainability strategy development, risk assessment, and compliance advisory.
• Background in management consulting, corporate sustainability, or financial services is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Fluency in German and English is highly preferred.
