R&D Hardware Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Analyze the quality of existing products and define steps for continuous improvement.
• Simulate and optimize hardware designs and concepts.
• Support the development of analog and digital hardware for high‑precision voltage and current source ATE measurement applications.
• Perform prototype bring‑up in the lab and conduct detailed characterization measurements.
• Develop and apply basic software skills to operate hardware at a low level and enable automated measurements.
• Deploy solutions to manufacturing and provide ongoing support to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong expertise in electronic design and simulation for analog and high‑speed digital circuits.
• Proficient in schematic entry and hands‑on experience with analog/digital hardware simulation and design tools.
• Basic programming skills in Python and/or C/C++ for hardware control and automation.
• Understanding of statistical data analysis and evaluation.
• Business‑fluent German and fluent English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, with a collaborative and solution‑oriented working style.
