HPE Networking Presales Consultant (f/m/d)

This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure technical product expertise, technical resources and tools are available enabling qualification and differentiation of the HPE Networking offering within the targeted segment through appropriate understanding of customer needs
  • Understand and translate customer technical and business requirements into product and solution designs
  • Inspire customers with AI and security solutions
  • Discuss use cases with end customers
  • Ensure technical knowledge is transferred to partner's sales force to enable partner driven technical presales and sales engagement
  • Prepare technical presentations and benchmarks on products
  • Alignment of technical work with channel partners to match customer requirements
  • Represent HPE Networking in relevant national Business Associations (technical partner and end-user forums)
  • Participate in marketing activities, providing technical presales support when technical expertise is required
  • Responsible for achieving certification targets to meet HPE Networking and customer expectations
  • Provide technical feedback from partners/end‑users on our solutions/products to our R&D division

Qualifications & Skills

  • Master's (graduate) degree, preferably in Computer engineering or the like
  • In-depth knowledge of the networking market as well as knowledge of at least one vendor’s LAN / WLAN products & solutions. Any further vendor knowledge would be beneficial.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in IT sales, presales or technical networking consulting
  • In-depth knowledge about wireless technologies (IEEE 802.11) and deployment strategies
  • Very good knowledge about authentication technologies (RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, SAML) and deployment strategies
  • Strong knowledge of competitive landscape
  • Any certifications like HPE Networking Certifications, Cisco's CCNA, CCNP or CCIE or equivalent qualification are highly desired
  • Experiences in setup and operating proof of concepts including practical configuration of networking products
  • A self‑motivated, go‑and‑get approach and the will to win
  • Strong presentation and technical communication skills
  • An organized, team approach
  • Willingness to travel and visit customer and partners
  • English and German fluent language skill
