The Fashion Digital plans, designs, develops, configures, and operates efficient systems and applications along our value chain.

Responsibilities

• Backbone‑Support & Betrieb: Patch‑ and release management of our POS systems, adaptation of automation solutions (e.g. Bash scripts), analysis and remediation of production issues, and technical support for cash desk hardware.
• Engineering & Distribution: Development and maintenance of operating‑system images for POS devices, creation and upkeep of Linux‑based distributions, packaging and distribution of software components for Cashdesk 2.0, integration of system‑level functions, and quality assurance/testing.
• Technical commissioning & rollouts: Support during first commissioning of new device generations and assistance with hardware rollouts and migrations.
• Management & Coordination: Close collaboration with internal departments and external vendors, support for store openings related to cashier infrastructure, and project support in the POS area.
• Documentation & knowledge transfer: Maintenance of technical documentation in Confluence and Jira to keep knowledge up‑to‑date.
• Optimization & further development: Active participation in the planning and implementation of technical POS strategies to continually improve the cashier infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Education: Completed apprenticeship, university degree or comparable IT qualifications.
• Skills: Structured, solution‑oriented, reliable, quick problem‑solving, high analytical ability.
• Profile: Solid Linux system administration knowledge, ability to implement automations (e.g. shell scripting).
• POS Experience: Experience operating POS hardware and software and providing technical support.
• Software distribution & patch management: Knowledge in patch & release management and package management.
• Project management & communication: Project management competence, teamwork, strong communication skills.
