Design Release Engineer (m/f/d) – Automated Driving System

Your tasks

• Own the technical release of components, subsystems and software of the automated driving system (e.g., sensors, ECUs, software modules)


• Coordinate development activities with internal departments (systems engineering, software, hardware, testing) and external suppliers


• Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and functional requirements throughout the product development lifecycle


• Conduct and document design reviews, DFMEAs, and release processes


• Aligns and oversees communication design between modules


• Maintain and manage BOMs, Component Libraries, and technical documentation in PLM and Architecture systems


• Support integration and validation of components in the vehicle on all test modalities


• Collaborate closely with system architects and safety engineers to ensure functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434)

Your profile

• Degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or a related field


• Several years of experience in component development and release within the automotive sector, ideally in automated driving


• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, and validation methods


• Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, PTC Windchill) and CAD tools


• Familiarity with Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity standards


• Strong communication and coordination skills


• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
