The Property & Casualty Global Services team is responsible for coordinating tasks across business divisions within the Property & Casualty business group. We operate as a service center for the entire Hannover Re Group, viewing every department as a potential customer. Our responsibilities also include streamlining communication and supporting customer relationship initiatives. We provide information for the Property & Casualty market departments and serve as the first point of contact for service departments on all P&C-related topics.

You can look forward to

  • Major Loss Coordination: Oversee and administer the major and mega-losses processes at the request of Executive Board Members or Management, including monitoring their developments.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the central point for loss assessments, providing critical insights to the Property & Casualty Coordinator and other key stakeholders.
  • Market Impact Analysis: Evaluate market information and losses from departments, subsidiaries, and branches to assess potential impacts on Hannover Re.
  • Systematic Case Review: Identify potential major losses through booking system analyses.
  • Data Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed reports and analyses for the Property & Casualty Executive Board, Supervisory Board, General Annual Meeting, and regulatory bodies.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Design and deliver training sessions on major and mega-loss processes to internal teams.

You come equipped with

  • Several years of experience in claims management, particularly in handling major and mega-loss cases.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Business Law, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, FS-RI, and Central Reporting systems.
  • Sound knowledge of international and local (re)insurance markets.
  • Strong communication skills, including conversational-level proficiency in German and business-fluent English.
  • Keen analytical thinking, strong numerical skills, and the ability to independently design, optimize, and manage complex processes.
