To strengthen our team at the Zuffenhausen plant, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager (m/f/d).

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire liquid coatings production process on site, ensuring high quality and efficiency standards are met. This role involves managing and developing the production team, providing strategic direction to optimize operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Location: Zuffenhausen (on‑site)

Reports to: Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the production of liquid coatings according to quality and efficiency targets.
  • Monitor production processes and coordinate production capacities according to customer demand.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the production team, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance production capabilities and capacity.
  • Align production goals with overall business objectives and market demands.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within the production function.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal and external quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor implementation of quality control measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices across production processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure consistent reporting.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in engineering, industrial management, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Extensive and solid experience in coatings manufacturing, the chemical industry, or another process‑oriented industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards, lean management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex production operations and lead diverse teams.
  • A high-energy driver of change who is not satisfied with the status quo and is capable of advancing the innovation agenda and the further expansion of the plant.
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • A promoter of teamwork and an effective motivator to achieve the best possible results.
  • Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
