EU AMXL Operations Team - 3PL / Contract Logistics Manager
The EU AMXL Operations team is seeking a 3PL / Contract Logistics Manager to oversee the overall management of the Germany AMXL 3PFC team. This role involves responsibility for a segment of the 3PL operations, reporting to the MEU Manager 3PL for AMXL in Europe. The position requires extensive interaction with Retail, Supply Chain, Transportation teams, and external/internal Fulfillment Operations partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control quality, performance, cost, and capacity of the external fulfillment provider (3PL).
- Lead major projects within EU AMXL Fulfillment Operations, Supply Chain, and Transportation to support business growth and selection.
- Monitor and analyze customer experience and delivery performance.
- Maintain and develop KPIs and SLAs with 3PLs and carriers through daily management.
- Contribute to process improvements and cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with EU and worldwide teams.
- Drive contract negotiations and ramp-ups of new external fulfillment partners.
About the Team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) handles heavy items like furniture and large appliances, managing the entire process from supply chain fulfillment to delivery, including unpacking, assembly, installation, and old item removal. The team emphasizes safety, productivity, and innovation, with plans to expand fulfillment centers and delivery stations across Europe. The team comprises members from operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and program management roles.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with proven track record in delivering projects within scope, time, budget, and quality.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
- Technical expertise with a solution-driven approach to systems and processes.
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s, Diploma, or MBA degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as data warehouses, SQL, or Visual Basic.
