Jobbeschreibung

Aquila Clean Energy EMEA is a developer of integrated & hybrid clean energy solutions and an independent power producer. We deliver affordable clean energy to European consumers through innovative, technology enabled solutions. Since 2006, we've developed and operated renewable energy projects, bringing over 2.5 GW to commercial operation. We manage an advanced development and construction pipeline consisting of over 13 GW in solar PV, onshore wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across 13 European countries.

At Aquila Clean Energy EMEA, we are committed to the energy transition in Southern Europe, developing innovative solar and wind energy projects. If you are passionate about renewable energy and ready to face challenging tasks in an international environment, we want to meet you!

For our office in Hamburg or Madrid, we are looking for a FP&A Manager.

What will you do day-to-day?

  • Train and mentor FP&A Analysts in all duties assigned to the FP&A Department, ensuring knowledge transfer and professional development.
  • Prepare manuals and templates to standardize and improve processes within the FP&A Department.
  • Review and prepare the monthly reporting for renewable projects across Europe, including profit and loss statements, cash flow, balance sheets, and financial KPIs.
  • Analyze and report deviations in Time/Cost/Quality calculations throughout the project timeline compared to the business plan and budget. Explain deviations through close coordination with various departments (Investment, Development, Construction, Operations, Asset Management, etc.) and propose countermeasures if necessary.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Financial Model for renewable assets, providing insights on deviations in relation to closing figures.
  • Proactively challenge financial assumptions in investment and divestment processes, ensuring cost accuracy and securing project profitability.
  • Steer Liquidity Management between Fund and Project Management while coordinating closely with the Treasury Department.
  • Prepare and monitor Treasury Forecasts, ensuring accurate projections for liquidity planning and financial decision-making.
  • Support other departments from project origination to handover/sale in all aspects related to interim and external financing.
  • Ensure the correct development, implementation, and maintenance of the Group's IT FP&A system to support accurate analytical reporting.

What are we looking for?

  • Economic background: Degree in Business Administration or similar, ideally with a focus on Finance or Economics.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, reporting, or FP&A, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong financial expertise with experience in project controlling, financial analysis, and reporting, ideally in an investment or renewable energy environment.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High capacity to adapt to changes and new processes, taking ownership with a proactive approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
