The Master Data Lead Steward (m/f/d) plays a pivotal role in defining and managing data policies, data governance frameworks, and data object definitions for Master Data within a globally acting Pharmaceutical and MedTech company. This position focuses on critical domains including Quality Management, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warehousing. Working closely with approximately 40 manufacturing sites worldwide, the role will drive initiatives to ensure high-quality, consistent master data, support data cleansing activities, and manage data migrations as part of a broader business transformation project.

Your assignment

Data Governance & Policy Development

  • Define, implement, and maintain comprehensive data policies and governance frameworks.

  • Develop clear data object definitions tailored to Master Data requirements.

  • Ensure all data governance initiatives adhere to industry regulations and quality standards.

Global Collaboration & Implementation

  • Partner with approximately 40 manufacturing sites to standardize and implement master data practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing) to align data strategies.

  • Facilitate communication and training sessions to promote data literacy and governance best practices across the organization.

Operational Data Management

  • Oversee and manage data cleansing activities to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

  • Lead data migration efforts during business transformation projects, ensuring smooth and error-free transitions.

  • Monitor data quality metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.

Issue Resolution & Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for master data-related issues.

  • Provide guidance and support to data experts across various sites.

  • Address and resolve discrepancies or challenges in data management processes promptly.

Your profile

  • University degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Expertise in (master) data management, including data governance, data cleansing and data migration processes, demonstrated in a similar role within the Pharmaceutical, MedTech, or a similarly regulated industry.

  • Experience collaborating with global, multi-site organizations, ideally with exposure to Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Warehousing domains.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to the pharmaceutical and medtech industries.

  • Familiarity with data management tools, software platforms, and best practices, in particular pertaining to SAP products.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in business fluent English, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, fostering effective collaboration across global teams and various functional areas.

  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data integrity.

  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, adept at identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
