Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• You further develop software tools and implement new features as well as custom workflows – including for platforms like Fusion Network and CineBridge
• You design and develop web applications based on Ruby on Rails and HTML5, as well as media asset management systems
• You build, extend, and optimize interfaces and workflows for post-production and distribution
• You plan and execute projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• You contribute new ideas to the tech stack and regularly evaluate new tools & technologies in software development, DevOps, and cloud computing
• You develop technical solutions for the content delivery platform in the digital cinema sector
• You optimize upload, download, and transcoding processes for large video files
• You improve the Electron-based client for upload/download on macOS, Windows, and Linux
• You expand and maintain the internal data management tool

Your Profile

• You have a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, along with several years of professional experience in software development with Ruby on Rails or a similar MVC framework
• Solid knowledge of agile development (Scrum, Kanban) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with the installation, administration, and configuration of Linux/UNIX-based systems and tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Team spirit, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of pair programming
• A careful, solution-oriented, and independent working style
