This will be your impact.

You will play an integral part in advancing our Sustainability agenda, in implementing sustainable finance strategies for the portfolio and in advising management and transaction teams in their assessments and risk management of ESG factors in investments.

• Define ESG Framework: Establish ESG priorities for SFS EQ together with the rest of the Sustainability team.
• Integrate and implement Sustainability: Collaborate with investment teams to incorporate sustainability into investment decisions and develop actionable plans to achieve ESG targets across the SFS EQ portfolio.
• Governance Owner: Manage the ESG escalation process to SFS EQ and SFS management.
• Expert Guidance: Serve as the subject matter expert on EU Taxonomy and similar regulations, providing guidance in ambiguous ESG situations.
• Liaison Role: Act as the liaison to SFS Sustainability experts and other business units, coordinating input for company-wide ESG initiatives.
• Research, Best Practices, and Thought Leadership: Conduct comprehensive research on corporate governance, legal and disclosure frameworks, and market trends to establish industry-leading practices in sustainability related equity investments.
• Enhance ESG Processes: Drive the development of ESG-related processes and tools, including digitization initiatives.
• Reporting Coordination: Lead sustainability reporting activities in collaboration with internal collaborators.
• Training Programs: Foster ESG training and learning programs within SFS EQ.
• Decision-Making: Strong ability to make informed and timely decisions.
• Team Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively within a team to achieve common goals.
• Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing and implementing strategic plans.
  
  

This is how you'll win us over:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business Administration, Sciences, IT or a related field, preferably with additional ESG qualifications
• Passionate about sustainability and understanding how ESG can unlock value in equity investments.
• Experience in financial services, asset management, in a private equity firm or a consulting company for at least 5 years, preferably with a dedicated focus on sustainable finance.
• You are curious, ambitious, self-reflective, embrace challenges as growth opportunities, and have a strong affinity for working in diverse teams, thereby embracing cultural diversity within a globally operating company.
• Proficiency in English, knowledge of German is welcome
