Rhubarb is a premium hospitality collective specialising in luxury event catering, restaurant dining and hospitality. Rhubarb deliver unique dining and venue management at some of the world’s most iconic locations. Rhubarb will create a culinary journey through South America at Elemente Restaurant and AirBar 13, located at the Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier.

Role purpose: We are looking to recruit an exceptional General Manager to join our team and open Elemente. Initially, the General Manager will need to be a Project Manager, leading the smooth mobilisation with the RHC team, recruiting and training a world-class team of around 95 staff, followed by operating across two distinct outlets, managing multiple heads of department, driving sales, and leading by example.

There will be a fair amount of pressure and high expectations – but you’ll be given the tools to deliver an incredible, cutting-edge food offering on multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mobilisation and opening of Elemente, acting as Project Manager with the RHC team.
• Recruit and train a world-class team of around 95 staff.
• Manage two distinct outlets and multiple heads of department.
• Drive sales and maintain a strong presence, leading by example in a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within quality restaurants and bars; multi-outlet experience preferred.
• Commercial, sales and marketing skills with great personality and presence; passion for food and drinks.
• Knowledge of South American cuisine is a bonus but not essential.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
• Right to work in the EU is required.
