Job Description

The function is organizationally part of the BU Specialties and reports to the Head of BU Specialties & NBD. Your main task is to maximize the profit contribution in the Business Unit Specialties by developing and implementing an effective sales strategy based on the product strategy of the plants and by maintaining strategic customer relationships through managing all sales offices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. You lead your international management team of the Head of Sales Offices (m / f / d) of BU Sales Specialties, develop talents, and foster a high-performance, motivated environment.
  2. You will be responsible for budget planning, including current and future requirements.
  3. Ensure efficient and effective information flow and coordination between Sales Offices and all relevant organizational units.
  4. Prepare market and competition analyses, as well as statistical evaluations, to identify opportunities and risks, and adapt the sales and business development strategy accordingly.
  5. Increase the efficiency of operational sales processes and structures, supporting processes, and systems (especially CRM).
  6. Define sales-specific targets (sales and revenue planning), set these in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the 5-Year Plan (5YP), and monitor them for effective management of all sales activities, focusing on continuous portfolio optimization in coordination with P / P managers.
  7. Manage the strategic orientation of BU new customer acquisition, customer contacts, and key accounts; participate in professional exchanges, trade fairs, conferences, and other events as required; and engage in competence networks.
  8. Oversee the continuous improvement and standardization of processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and ensure the use and further development of suitable systems.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in economics with a focus on sales, finance, or similar.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including 7 years in management and, if possible, international experience.
  • Experience in developing holistic sales and business development strategies.
  • Experience working in international matrix organizations.
  • Proven track record in initiating and managing complex change projects.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and process-oriented thinking, with a structured approach.
  • Business fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous.
