Lead of Maintenance and Project Management in Agricultural Field Trials (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Lead of Maintenance and Project Management in Agricultural Field Trials (m/f/d) for the workshop team of the breeding stations in the Einbeck region with immediate effect. The position is to be filled full-time and permanent at our headquarters in Germany/Einbeck (KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA). Your tasks:

  • You are responsible for the machinery and the special machines in test technology and, together with your team, ensure that our technology runs smoothly.
  • In addition to planning all workshop orders, you will also coordinate the further and new developments of our technology.
  • The conception and implementation of new acquisitions as well as the budget responsibility is incumbent on you in close consultation with the management teams of the breeding stations in the region of our main location.
  • In addition to the disciplinary management of your employees, you will support your team in day-to-day business with your expertise and experience in the above-mentioned subject area.
  • Through flat hierarchies, technical know-how and a strong spirit of innovation, you encourage your team to continuously improve processes and machines.
  • You work closely with the other KWS breeding stations to coordinate large-scale projects internationally.


Your profile:

  • You have a degree in the field of agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering or have relevant professional experience.
  • You already have experience in crop production and agricultural experimentation - if you have already gained some management experience: all the better!
  • You are enthusiastic about technology and see it as the key to continuous improvement.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of business management issues and are familiar with the common Microsoft Office programs.
  • Above all, you see your responsibility as supporting your team and creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow.
  • You are comfortable making clear decisions and always communicate openly, honestly and respectfully; you are not afraid of conflict and are open about mistakes.
  • You are fluent German; good knowledge of English, both written and spoken is required.
