Design Release Engineer (DRE) – Wiring Harness (PREEvision) (m / w / d)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of wiring harnesses for assigned vehicle zones or systems
• Manage the end‑to‑end development process from concept to production release
• Ensure alignment with system requirements, packaging constraints, and cross‑domain interfaces
• Conduct and participate in design reviews and milestone checkpoints
• Support prototype builds and resolve harness‑related issues during development phases
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high‑quality designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• Ideally you already bring strong knowledge of PREEvision's rule model, meta model, and configuration capabilities. If not, you bring at least experience with similar model‑based tools
• Interest to grow in the fields of Generative AI, Systems Engineering, and WebApp development
• Proficiency in Java and other relevant programming languages
• Familiarity with modern WebApp development technologies, like React, NetxJS, nodejs, Javascript, CSS, Tailwind, REST API, etc.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Tool Knowledge

• Ideally proficient in PREEvision for logical architecture, topology, schematics, and BOM management (PV : "Hardware Layer")
• Experience with PLM system Windchill.
• Familiarity with issue tracking and documentation tools used in automotive development environment

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across engineering domains.
• Ability to coordinate with system DREs, packaging, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach and attention to detail.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic development environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality results.
