Senior Quality Assurance Lead

Location: Mannheim (Hybrid: 3 days office)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to take responsibility for the quality and stability of a cloud-based software platform while leading an international team of QA engineers. This role combines operational and strategic tasks: from developing automated tests and ensuring platform reliability to reviewing documentation and improving QA processes. You will help shape a robust and efficient quality assurance framework that ensures high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure platform quality and stability through automated and manual testing
• Develop and maintain backend automated tests in Java using JUnit
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues early
• Lead test planning and risk assessments to ensure robust product delivery
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies in an agile environment
• Maintain release notes and technical documentation for internal and external users

Qualifications

• Solid experience in software quality assurance and testing principles
• Hands‑on experience with backend test automation (Java/JUnit)
• Experience in frontend testing with Playwright or similar frameworks
• Strong skills in technical documentation and process optimization
• Familiarity with Git and agile development workflows
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Leadership experience and ability to mentor and guide teams (a plus)
