As an Energy Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in developing and optimizing the grid connection infrastructure and expansion solutions for our properties. You will ensure compliance with regulatory and project-specific requirements while considering consumption and generation developments. Additionally, you will support the implementation of (renewable) energy systems and energy storage solutions. Here, you will work closely with suppliers, technical planners, and construction teams to ensure project success — from the initial concept through to final commissioning.

More concretely, this means you will get the opportunity to:

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the electrical infrastructure and expansion solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., VDE-AR-N 4110) and site-specific needs
• Coordinate and support power upgrade measures, based on consumption and generation forecasts
• Manage, support and oversee the technical planning for the integration of PV systems, battery storage, CHP plants, and heat pumps
• Challenging/reviewing the technical drawings of electrical installations that were designed by suppliers
• Support in integration of energy infra (PV, EV, BESS etc.), coordinate energy infrastructure projects with DNO
• Manage and oversee the certification process as well as the design, assembly, and commissioning of switchgears
• Plan, organize, and monitor all phases of assigned projects, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met
• Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to verify overall performance
• Prepare regular status reports on development progress, technical quality, and project costs
• Provide technical guidance to on-site construction managers and ensure alignment with project goals
• Proactively identify project risks early and define suitable mitigation measures
• Network with local DNOs, support application and approval processes and ensure complete project documentation

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or completed apprenticeship with relevant experience (e.g., industrial electrician, electrical technician)
• Several years of experience in VDE-AR-N 4110 and certification of switchgears.
• Strong technical understanding of power grids, electrical infrastructure and renewable energy technologies with the ambition to design tomorrow's infrastructure
• Experience in renewable energy integration and grid compliance
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
