Position: Senior Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

In this role, you will support the Business Unit Germany and related functions in managing legal challenges, especially on large-scale projects. We seek someone who embodies our core values and adds value through close collaboration with peers. As a lawyer in a broad, customer-facing role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service. The position is based in Berlin or Erlangen.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Supporting deal teams on complex tenders and projects during sales phases.
  2. Drafting and negotiating various contracts, including supply, EPC, service, procurement, and other commercial agreements.
  3. Supporting delivery teams and claim managers on potential claims and disputes during project execution.
  4. Participating in international corporate initiatives and handling diverse legal matters encountered in an inhouse legal role.

Your Skills & Qualifications

  1. Fully qualified lawyer (first and second state exams, at least "befriedigend").
  2. At least 7 years of experience drafting and negotiating complex project agreements.
  3. Experience in industrial equipment, construction, or utility projects; renewable energy or energy storage experience is a plus.
  4. Excellent judgment in business and interpersonal matters.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a self-motivated work style.
  6. Ability to lead negotiations, take responsibility, and make decisions.
  7. Impeccable ethics, compliance, and safety commitment.
  8. Business fluency in German and English.
