As Head of IT Infrastructure (m/f/d) you have many interfaces within the BAUR Group and are networked within the OTTO Group. Broad but also deep specialist knowledge is very important to us for these tasks - because as Head of Infrastructure for the BAUR Group Germany you have a lot of responsibility but also freedom to shape our IT infrastructure. Your mission: Ensuring the availability and security of the systems and continuously optimizing the quality of the services offered.

Your tasks
  • Planning, implementation and further development of the IT infrastructure
  • Budget planning and resource management including evaluation of investments as well as creation and maintenance of investment and liquidity forecasts
  • Project management of IT infrastructure projects
  • Team management and development as well as personnel development, including conducting employee appraisals and performance reviews
  • Ensuring adherence to compliance and data protection guidelines
  • Coordination of IT requirements and services with clients
  • Coordination within the Group and with Group initiatives (Admin Competence Center, Network Competence Center, Domain Techboard Infrastructure)
  • Evaluating and implementing new technologies
  • Continuous improvement of the IT infrastructure and work processes
Your profile
  • Degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable training
  • Several years of professional and management experience in a leading position in the IT sector
  • Comprehensive specialist knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and its components (networks, end devices, servers, databases, operating systems, storage systems, telephony)
  • Knowledge of IT security and experience in implementing security measures
  • Experience with IT service management (ITIL)
  • Knowledge of current technologies and trends in IT infrastructure
  • Experience in the management and implementation of IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience in capacity and performance optimization of IT systems
  • Knowledge of risk management and change management
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented way of working and good cooperation with clients, service providers and other internal or external departments
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align the IT infrastructure with business objectives
