Role Overview

You will lead project execution in our core plant technology EPC-business, managing projects up to billions of EUR. Your daily responsibilities include close collaboration with business units, project management, engineering facilities, procurement, and construction sites worldwide. Your key responsibilities are:

• Ensure successful commercial project execution of large EPC projects in the plant industry, meeting budget and timeline targets from proposal to warranty completion.
• Manage commercial activities including contracts, claims, risk management, payment securities, VAT/TAX issues, and insurance during proposal and execution phases.
• Oversee subcontractors at construction sites in collaboration with the Commercial Site Manager.
• Develop and implement harmonized processes globally to ensure best-in-class project execution worldwide.

Candidate Profile

Professional Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience negotiating and executing international EPC contracts in power, cement, or chemical industries, with project volumes up to hundreds of millions EUR, as a Commercial Project Director.
• University degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or similar.
• Proven leadership of international teams, intercultural awareness, and ability to leverage cultural differences.
• Experience in complex contract scenarios and strong knowledge of contract law.
• Driven, able to work under pressure, and committed to high results.
• Fluent in German and excellent in English; additional languages are a plus.
