D&I Program Manager, Professional Services

About The Role

As a Program Manager on the Global Professional Services team, you will drive complex projects that help scale governmental customer adoption of the Planet Platform and its data products. You will work with cross‑functional teams, both technical and non‑technical, to define project methodology and strategy across a portfolio. You will also contribute to business development by working with the proposal team to deliver proposals for defense & intelligence customers. This role appeals to candidates with interest in defense & intelligence and remote sensing data applications. The ideal candidate is process‑driven, improves ways of working, and thrives in a global team environment.

Full‑time, hybrid position. Requires working from Berlin office 3 days per week.

Impact You’ll Own

  • Work closely with Professional Services Engineers, PreSales, Product Management, and other teams to design and deliver reliable platform and data solutions
  • Lead proposal development for D&I customers, gathering technical inputs, articulating value propositions, and aligning with mission needs
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable deliverables
  • Scope and manage detailed project schedules, drive execution, identify risks, track costs and budget
  • Deliver consistent project updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Design and implement processes for operational excellence and scalability
  • Continuously improve ways of working by monitoring workflows and identifying inefficiencies
  • Manage contracts with subcontractors, including task assignment, deliverable tracking, and budget management
  • Measure project performance and customer satisfaction to improve future delivery

What You Bring

  • 6+ years of project management experience, including support for proposal development for government or defense‑sector customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience preparing and contributing to technical proposals
  • Experience working with or as part of the Defense and Intelligence community
  • Ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects in a technical or product development setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities independently and adapt quickly in dynamic environments
  • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to balance day‑to‑day responsibilities with forward‑looking improvements

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience developing proposals for federal customers
  • Understanding of platform development, integrations, or geospatial data‑as‑a‑service offerings
  • Experience with remote sensing, EO data, or imaging technologies
  • Proactivity in initiating efforts to improve existing programs or develop new initiatives
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full‑time position at the commencement of employment is listed below. The role may be eligible for discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives. Salary range is determined by job‑related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new‑hire salaries in US locations only.
