In-House Legal Counsel – IT / Commercial Contracts (m/f/d)

Our client is a fast-growing software company with ambitious expansion plans over the next few years. They are now looking to build the next generation of their Legal Department.

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders across the business, contributing directly to commercial success and growth. You’ll handle a broad range of legal topics with a particular focus on commercial and IT contracts, enabling scalability and supporting strategic decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and IT agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Serve as a key sparring partner to management and business stakeholders on all legal matters.
• Support product and commercial teams on data protection, licensing, and general compliance issues.
• Build scalable contract frameworks and contribute to the ongoing development of legal operations.
• Partner with external counsel when necessary and manage cross-functional legal projects.

Your Profile

• Fully qualified German lawyer Volljurist
• 3+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably gained at a top-tier law firm or dynamic in-house environment.
• Sound knowledge of commercial and IT contract law; experience in SaaS or tech-driven industries is a plus.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial opportunity.
• Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication skills and a proactive, agile mindset.
