ABOUT THE JOB

As a Head Of Technology Practices, you will lead the Engineering Practice across several cross-functional agile teams, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support on complex problems. You will ensure adherence to best practices in mobile app design, development, and testing for TUI Mobile Apps on iOS and Android (e.g., TUI Digital Assistant). Your responsibilities include setting technical direction, evaluating development and operational processes for improvements, and standardizing mobile engineering procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.

You will lead a team of technical leaders, fostering growth, acquiring new skills, and maintaining a collaborative and innovative team culture. Additionally, you will oversee talent recruitment, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development. Your focus will be on increasing team autonomy, enabling effective decision-making, and promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders, you will establish best practices across the software development lifecycle and operations, remove impediments, and achieve business outcomes. You will work on improving cross-team collaboration, manage relationships with partners and suppliers, and ensure third-party deliveries align with business needs and technology standards.

You will maintain a strategic understanding of the business, shaping people, delivery, and technology strategies accordingly. You will champion the SRE approach, optimize delivery of business value, and ensure compliance with architectural and quality standards. Budget and cost management for your teams will also be part of your responsibilities, including planning, tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.

You should have a strong background in leading diverse, cross-functional technology teams in an international context, working with senior stakeholders, and managing large-scale, cloud-based technology stacks. You will advocate modern software development practices and promote excellent engineering and organizational practices across the domain.

ABOUT YOU:

• Enthusiastic about software delivery engineering practices, mobile technologies, and ecosystems (iOS, Android, Flutter, etc.), with a focus on delivering business value and continuous improvement.
• Strong experience in delivering and operating cloud-native (AWS) digital products and services in an agile environment at a global scale.
• Deep knowledge of mobile ecosystems, development practices, and technologies.
• Passionate about developing and growing people, with a proven track record.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring technology leaders and engineers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Systems thinker with a strong understanding of business needs, capable of managing priorities and delegating effectively.
• Excellent communicator and facilitator, comfortable working across organizational and market boundaries, managing senior stakeholders, and aligning differing viewpoints.
• Good understanding of the tech stack, including cloud technology, design patterns, microservices, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and operational principles like SRE.
