Otis is growing and is looking for an OU Business Partner for Central Europe. This role involves leading supply chain matters within the operating unit (OU) and undertaking non-catalogue local procurement. You will work with the part-time Supply Chain Country Business Partners in the associated countries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a single point of contact in the operating unit (OU) for all supply chain topics including saving plans and LE payment term initiatives and other supply chain initiatives.
  • Work closely with OU and country leadership to understand customer needs and ensure these are delivered to expectations.
  • Act in a cross-matrix role as a single point of contact for the OU and its supply chain needs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective solutions across the supply chain function.
  • Identify gaps within the supply chain processes and work with leadership to resolve and provide solutions, gaining buy-in from other parts of the business to support rollout of process improvement strategies.
  • Implement an action savings plan and align strategies with local finance and leadership.
  • Con conduct pay term country analysis and tasks.
  • Manage local requests for support via Service Now tool.
  • Support EMEA and Global Category Sourcing Teams (Field & Indirect) regarding EMEA-wide agreements and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sourcing teams to convert non-catalog purchases into standard catalogs.

Key requirements

  • MBA / MA / MS degree with 1 year of experience; BA / BS degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a group of buyers to achieve quality, cost and service level targets. Set challenging goals with clear expectations, offering feedback and coaching to support the team.
  • Proven ability to work across teams, communicating clearly to align objectives and taking initiative in serving stakeholders.
  • Ability to take ownership of challenges, accurately defining problems and reprioritizing as needed to reach objectives.
  • Experience with Global JDE and associated systems (K2) and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Forms.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups including Field Operations, Engineering and Supplier Quality to meet business goals.
  • Must be able to work in and support a team environment.
  • Travel 20% to 25% within Region / EMEA.
  • German language skills; multilingual is a plus.
