Overview

Principal Consultant| Field Service Management| Essen, Germany- M/F/D at Infosys

Role requires a techno-functional lead in Field Service Management (FSM) solutions for Electric and Gas Utilities, with experience in European markets and German language proficiency. GIS integration experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, build, test and deploy FSM solutions on one or more FSM platforms.
  • Lead technical designs and functional workshops with the customer.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of FSM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics, IFS).
  • Understand integration patterns with other systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Conduct functional workshops with business for FSM requirements and perform product demos.
  • Map customer requirements to product capabilities and suggest suitable solutions.
  • Create AS-IS and TO-BE process documents; identify gaps and propose customizations when needed.
  • Interface with product vendors and lead development of functional design documents; configure packages to meet project requirements.
  • Capture configurations and create configuration documents for developers.
  • Guide, mentor, and review end-to-end solutions; resolve issues during support and post-Go-Live.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in German with fluency in English.
  • 14+ years IT industry experience, with at least 10 years implementing FSM Solutions for Utilities.
  • 4+ full-cycle FSM implementations for utilities (Power/Water/Sewer) with hands-on functional and deployment experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FSM, GIS solutions, and web development patterns.
  • Knowledge of European utility data models and integration patterns (e.g., SAP).
  • Experience with AS-IS/TO-BE modeling, CRPs, and product fitment.
  • Exposure to European regulated and de-regulated markets; ability to lead development teams and collaborate with client SMEs.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and soft skills; willingness to travel as needed.
