POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Within Nikon SLM Solutions, the Head of System Engineering is responsible for steering the team of system engineers throughout the development of all new products to the hand off to Production, as well as the steering of the team of system engineers who are responsible for sustaining products in the field.

• Leadership and management of all system engineers
• Oversee all NPI and sustaining program executions, participate in PCB reviews and approve engineering documentation
• Align with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate resource allocation of the system engineering team in alignment with PMO office and adapt based on priorities
• Support in customer meetings

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• MSc with professional experience in engineering field
• Several years of leadership experience in an industry environment
• 5 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary design program of complex system with high technology content products
• Excellent attention to system design objectives and impacts to their design and production implementation
• Very good knowledge of system engineering as a discipline and system thinking skills
• Good knowledge of requirements writing and management
• Good understanding of configuration control and PLM
• Ability to take responsibility and make decisions in difficult situations
• Ability to motivate and drive people
• Ability to identify knowledge gaps and trainings needs to develop the team
• Ability to withstand high-pressure situations
• Problem solving ‘can do’ attitude
