Position Summary:
As a Senior Design Security Engineer 3, you will be an expert in designing and deploying various technologies to improve our customers' physical security posture, managing technical requirements, and leading the regional engineering team in Stuttgart, Germany.
This role requires in-depth knowledge of physical security solutions, design modeling, standards, and the ability to implement and improve design delivery processes. You should be able to understand customer needs quickly and translate them into scalable solutions. The position is based in Stuttgart, and relocation is expected.

The responsibilities include developing system and project requirements, collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions, designing systems with technical specifications, preparing drawings and specifications, selecting technologies, planning installation sequences, and testing/commissioning.

Essential responsibilities:

• Define project scope based on customer needs, providing quality design solutions.
• Review RFPs, SOWs, and client specifications for bids.
• Develop BOMs and project forecasts.
• Create validation procedures, test plans, and deployment strategies.
• Develop and improve design standards.
• Lead complex projects, mentor team members, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Support deployed security systems and collaborate with various teams to maintain standards.
• Identify new technologies and solutions for customer environments.
• Serve as SME on system performance, installation, and sustainment.

Position requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in security systems design.
• Experience with physical security system deployment.
• Leadership skills and experience defining scope and leading teams.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred certifications:

• AutoCAD, Revit, Access control, Video Management Systems (e.g., Genetec, Milestone, Axis).

Additional abilities:

• Ability to work with extended screen time, sit for long periods, and manipulate objects.
• Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to understand and apply general rules to specific problems.
