A long-established software company in Heidelberg is entering a new chapter - and they’re looking for a Software Architect to help shape it.
For more than 40 years, their platform has supported thousands of users in retail, wholesale, and distribution. But now, they’re setting their sights on the future: modernising their technology stack, rethinking their internal frameworks, and exploring the use of AI, microservices, and cloud-native architecture to power their next generation of products.
This is a rare opportunity to influence architectural direction and help define how new systems are designed, built, and deployed.
Your Role:
- Take part in high-level technical discussions on modernisation strategy
- Design and evolve the architecture for new internal tools and frameworks
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies (AI-assisted tooling, microservices, cloud, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and mentor junior colleagues

Requirements:
