Position Overview

Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in Hamburg, Germany, a top research-oriented private business school accredited by AACSB, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Business Analytics and Operations Management (tenure-track). This full-time position is available immediately.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct original, impactful research with a focus on publishing in top-tier journals.
• Create scientific and societal impact through research.
• Teach courses in operations management and business analytics, including AI, Machine Learning, and digitalization of supply chains.
• Participate in industry and university service activities.
• Apply for third-party funding and contribute to the international development of KLU.

Your Qualifications

• PhD in operations management, logistics, operations research, industrial engineering, economics, or related fields.
• Evidence of research excellence and ability to publish in top-tier journals.
• Data science expertise, including advanced analytics, statistical methods, or machine learning.
• Strong teaching ability, capable of translating research into engaging lectures.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are not required.
