The Legal Counsel will provide essential legal support across a broad range of areas, including theimplementation of legal processes, contract management, real estate, labor and employment, corporategovernance, and litigation support, both in Germany and internationally. The role focuses on drafting andnegotiating commercial and logistics agreements, advising on transport and regulatory matters (HGB,ADSp, CMR, GDPR), supporting operational teams, and proactively managing legal risk. Strongcommunication skills in German and English, a pragmatic business mindset, and the ability to workindependently within a fast-paced international environment are critical for success in this position.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial matters, including logistics agreements, warehousing contracts, transportation terms, NDAs, MSAs, tender reviews, and customer/vendor negotiations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in line with company policies and industry standards (e.g., ADSp, CMR, Incoterms, warehousing terms, 3PL/4PL agreements).
• Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance, including transport regulations, customs requirements, data protection (GDPR).
• Manage and mitigate legal risks by implementing appropriate controls, templates, guidelines, and training for operational and commercial teams.
• Coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
• Support regional and global legal initiatives, including policy development and process optimization.
• Act as a trusted business partner, providing practical, solution-oriented legal guidance to management and operational teams.
• Travel to meetings across Europe from time to time.

Qualifikationen

• Fully qualified German lawyer (Volljurist) with 1st and 2nd Staatsexamen; admission as Rechtsanwalt is an advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in the logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industry (in-house experience preferred).
• Knowledge of commercial, contract, and transportation law (ADSp, HGB transport law, CMR, Incoterms beneficial).
• Experience supporting cross-border operations and multinational teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; proficiency in both German and English is required. Fluent oral and written in German and English is a must.
• Strong oral & written communication skills, including the confidence to present, influence and collaborate.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
• Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented approach.
