Position Details

The University of Kassel, with approximately 22,000 students, offers a wide range of expertise across natural, applied, cultural, and social sciences. In the Faculty of Economics and Management, Institute of Management and Business Studies (IBWL) – Sustainable Marketing (Prof. Dr. Ralf Wagner), a position is available from 01.07.2025:

• Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H
• Part-time (currently 20 hours/week)

Initial contract for 3 years with potential extension for 2 more years. Qualification position according to 72 HessHG and WissZeitVG, with the possibility of pursuing a doctorate.

Tasks

• Collaborate in research and teaching in Sustainable Marketing
• Participate in department projects and summer schools
• Manage a research subfield at the intersection of marketing, digitalization, and sustainability independently

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Management, or related fields, qualifying for a doctorate at the University of Kassel, to be obtained by start date
• Experience with empirical data collection and analysis methods
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Advantages

• Knowledge of R, SMARTPLS, or MAXQDA
• Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals
• Proficiency in German (spoken and written)
